Arrival should be planned for no sooner than 3:00 p.m. to allow sufficient time for house cleaning and preparation.

Departure no later than 10:00 a.m. to allow time for the house to be prepared for the next guest.

Payment & Cancellation

A 50% deposit due upon reservation, made payable to Gray Lady. Cancellation less than 60 days prior to occupancy will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.  Other cancellation after the deposit remittance will result in a refund of the deposit less a $300.00 administrative fee.  Should the property become unavailable or unusable, Renter will be provided with a pro-rata refund of rent paid.  It is agreed that Owner will not be responsible for any claims by Renter or Renter’s guests for costs or damages due to or resulting from the rental property being unavailable for use during any or all of the rental period.

Renter Responsibilities Prior To Departure

INSIDE CLEANUP

  • Remove personal sheets - fold spreads neatly at foot of beds that were used - replace pillows. Notify cleaning service of any mattress cover or spread that should be washed.

  • Check all drawers and closets for personal belongings

  • Check under sofa cushions for personal items and arrange pillows neatly.

  • Wash, dry and put away pots, pans, kitchen utensils & dish towels.

  • Load & run dishwasher as needed; return dishes & flatware to correct locations.

  • Turn off appliances.  Leave stove, refrigerator, and small appliances clean.  No food should be left in any cupboard or refrigerator.

  • Put all trash securely in plastic bags and place in outside bin for pickup.

OUTSIDE CLEANUP

  • Put all trash securely in plastic bags and place in bin for pickup.

  • Sweep and/or hose down porches, deck and driveway as best you can.

  • Neatly arrange chairs and other deck/porch furniture.

  • Return hoses to appropriate supports and turn water off - no dripping taps.

  • Check outside showers - no dripping faucets.  Remove all personal items.

  • Clean ashes from charcoal grill, and clean grate of residue.

GENERAL

  • Check inside & out for clothes & personal articles (drawers, clothesline, outside showers)

  • Close and lock windows and doors.
